After its opening in 2018 , the Entebbe Express Highway still remains the most expensive road ever built. The eye watering $476 million dollar investment currently still rises eye brows with each kilometer of the road costing a staggering U.S. $9.2 million. This is far above the average cost of $2 million per kilometer for a standard road construction project.
