Описание: in this session Safety talk I elaborated in details about Fire , as we know very well that fire may be friend or enemy of Human beings if it is controlled in proper way it will be highly beneficial for getting energy if it is uncontrollable it may hurt a lot & it give a lot of surprises & unseens .
what is fire ? fire is rapid oxidation of fuel ,as a result smoke ,carbon soot ,toxic gases ,fumes & thermal radiation are generated ,Fire is generated as a result of fire triangle philosophy in which Fuel,heat & oxygen are elements of this triangle fuel may be in the form of gas, liquid or solid . consequences of fire like loss of home,land, agriculture products,plants, equipments,family,friends etc
sources of Fire ?
smoking , electrical equipments,heaters , operation machinery , operation abnormalities or any criminal act may cause fire
what are hazards associated with fire ?
smoke
depletion of oxygen
toxic gases or fumes
most of the deaths during fire occurring dur to smoke but most of due to high temperature or heat ,when temperatures increased from 160 degree C a large no of injuries start converting into deaths . oxygen consumption increases during fire & living organisms will suffer deficiency of oxygen & ll get die with in 3mints due to limited oxygen supply to brain & brain activity ll suspend , sensitive organs of the body like heart , kidney,lungs ll demage as a result of heat .
smoke is also an hazards it contains air born participate it is combination of unburned carbon it also contains toxic gases like carbon monoxide , Carbon dioxide etc
what types of safety measures may be taken to counter fire
keep fuel away from heat
store fuel at appropriate place with proper storage SOPs
concentrate on house keeping
smoking must prohibited in fuel storage area , smoking area must be designated separately ,heat of electrical equipments must be isolated in their domains
oxygen is supporting element for fire it helps the fire to get wild & explosive . oxygen inside air is 21% remaining 79% is nitrogen as far as oxygen raises the fire wildness raises as well .all sources of fire must be handled carefully
mock drills about fire fighting & handling of fire extinguishers will help to enhance the skills of the people .
