What’s on the Menu at Orangutan Jungle School?

Описание: Caught on camera: Aman and Astuti taking a well-earned break at Jungle School, snacking away on termites like true little forest experts in training! Termites are a very important source of protein for wild orangutans, so it’s fantastic to see Aman and Astuti excelling at a very important skill needed for life in the wild.

Every day, these two gentle souls head into the forest classroom to learn how to live like a wild orangutan. From discovering which foods to eat, to building snug nests high in the treetops for a safe and cosy night’s sleep–they’re mastering the skills they’ll need for a life of freedom.

Both were rescued as vulnerable orphans and are now growing stronger at our BORA Rescue Centre in East Borneo. Thanks to our incredible community, Aman and Astuti are getting their second chance. And one day, they’ll live wild and free in the forest, just as they were born to do. 🧡
