Pathiramanal Island is a small, serene island located in the backwaters of Alappuzha, Kerala, surrounded by the calm waters of Vembanad Lake. Known for its rich greenery and peaceful atmosphere, the island is a perfect escape for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
We started our journey from Muhamma Boat Jetty and reached Pathiramanal by a private boat. Since we were a group of 8 people, the boat charge came to ₹100 per person. There is also an entry fee of ₹50 per person to access the island. Boat charges may vary depending on the group size and type of service.
Pathiramanal is accessible only by boat and is home to a wide variety of migratory birds, plants, and aquatic life. The island is well-maintained, with small shops available for snacks and drinks. With minimal human interference, it offers a calm, slow-paced experience away from crowded tourist spots.
