Curiosity led me to attend an orientation in 2004 when I knew nothing about interpretation.
Curiosity pushed me to take workshops.
Curiosity even carried me through failing my oral exam the first time.
And curiosity is what helped me transform that failure into growth.
In this video, I share how approaching failure with curiosity instead of fear completely changed the way I saw interpretation—not as a side job, but as an academic discipline, a profession, and eventually, a calling that led me to teach and coach interpreters.
