Jack & Mary Molchany Celebrate 43rd Wedding Anniversary by Visiting Where it All Began

It all started as a blind date 44 years ago. Jack Molchany was a GI working out of Truax and when his buddy asked him to go on a double date, Jack had to say yes. He met Mary at the St. Mary's School of Nursing which was located at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. The date went real well and soon Jack was picking his date up and dropping her off on the steps of the School of Nursing on a regular basis. After an 18 month relationship, the couple was married on November 9, 1968.
Every year on their wedding day Jack and Mary take a picture of each other to see how well they are aging. This year, to celebrate where it all began, the couple stopped by St. Mary's to take a picture on the steps of the old School of Nursing where it all began. And if you're wondering why they're shaking hands on the steps -- it's because back in those days Sister allowed no more than a handshake!
Jack and Mary now live in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin where they raised four children.
