On 10 August 2018, Richard "Beebo" Russell, an airport baggage loader, hijacked Horizon Air Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 at SeaTac airport in Seattle, Washington. The plane was empty and for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, he cheerfully circled the state while communicating with concerned air-traffic control. He revealed no intent to harm anyone, nor intent to return, and he experimented with several complicated air maneuvers before running out of fuel and crashing into a forest on Ketron Island. An outpouring of love and remembrance was immediately displayed by the internet, dubbing him "SkyKing" in reference to jokes about Skyking nuclear-emergency messages that are often said when concerning suspicious events happening in aviation. This video was one such tribute I posted on a backup channel.
