The Main Theme of the soundtrack the Green Mile. Composed by the great Thomas Newman.
This is definitely one of the saddest themes during this great movie. Coffey walking down the green and goes to the electric chair for execution. Very emotional scene and the music is emotional and dark at the same time.
The name of this cue from the soundtrack is called "Coffey on the Mile". My favorite theme from the score.
Actually I have used this cue in the end screen of my top 10 the saddest movie deaths.
The movie is also amazing so the combination of a great film and a great soundtrack are optimal, which is not always the case.
