Offensive BFM 1 - Basic principles

Описание: This series will cover the essentials of Defensive BFM that you need to survive a dogfight in DCS World. I'm not a fighter pilot. While these videos are based on real tactics, they are for context only and are only relevant in a game environment. This is based on my own understanding and is not professionally authoritative. Accordingly, the tenets in this video are the ones I apply, and not some official law that fighter pilots live by.

This is the first video in a series that explains my understanding of Offensive BFM. If you haven't already, you will likely benefit from watching the previous series on BFM Fundamentals, where the techniques referenced here are explained in more depth.

Being able to conduct effective Offensive BFM is critical to success in Within Visual Range engagements as it is the mechanism by which you turn an offensive advantage into a kill.
In this video, I'll explain the nomenclature used in the following series, and the tenets of Offensive BFM manoeuvring. Obeying these 'rules' will not ensure your success, or even your survival; but they will improve your odds.

Nomenclature explained includes:
Vertical 3/9 Line.
Line of Sight Rate.
Turning Room.
