A-SLAM Grant Tips | REG WITH SOCAN

Описание: Every year during grant season (Sept/Oct) I work with Creative BC to help artists apply for the Careers Grant, while also doing my own application. These calls are provided for free through Creative BC to help increase the quality of applications received and to help increase the number of applications from underrepresented groups.

Outside of these 2 months, you can also book a call with me privately to help with FACTOR's Artist Development grant, or general music career related questions, including developing your business plan, figuring out a marketing plan, revenue streams, royalty questions, etc. I've also done calls with new artists to answer direct music questions relating to production, recording, mixing, and mastering.

SOCAN is your main royalty collection agency.
In BC, you can also register with Music BC, which provides lots of different opportunities for up-and-coming artists.

If you're wondering, Creative BC is not an organization like SOCAN or Music BC that you register with as a member. But they do have a great newsletter as well, that has their grant deadlines in it.
