Описание: There's an increase in workplace absenteeism, leading to workers being fired for desertion. A case at the CCMA between the SABC and a staffer has highlighted the issue. The employee was dismissed, but later the decision was reversed and he was orally instructed to return. But he was waiting for written instruction and was subsequently fired for desertion.
