U.S. President Donald Trump has doubled down on comments that he is disappointed in NATO allies for not getting involved with America’s ongoing war in Iran.
"I think NATO is making a very foolish mistake," Trump said in the Oval Office Tuesday during a visit from Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin. “Everyone agrees with us, but they don't want to help. And we, as the United States, have to remember that,” he added.
For over three weeks, the U.S. and Israel have conducted military operations in and around Iran, in a vow they made to topple the country’s regime.
Trump said other nations should be thankful for his actions, suggesting he prevented “unbelievable nuclear holocaust.”
