STORYLINE:
Thousands of people in Karachi, Pakistan took part in a Quds day rally denouncing Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and vowing to liberate Al-Quds from Israeli occupation.

Women chanted “death to Israel” and “down with the USA," as they dragged coffins marked with U.S. and Israeli flags through the streets.

They also carried placards protesting the bombing of Iran and mourning the death of the former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who was killed in joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Tehran.

A large poster erected on a stage depicted U.S. President Donald Trump and his Israeli and Indian counterparts as devils, reading in Urdu "the world has three devils-U.S., Israel and the India.”

The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan is observed across the Muslim world as International Quds Day and denounces Israel's 1968 occupation of Jerusalem.

Maulana Syed Hasan Zafar Naqvi, religious scholar at the march, called on the Muslim people to be united.

"All of us know who is fighting for the oppressed people and protecting their rights," he said.

Sarwat Zehra, another protestor, told The Associated Press: “we are raising our voices against the oppressor and come to the street to support the oppressed people of Palestine."

"The liberation of Quds is our dream, and we are all gather here for this cause," she added.
