Hello, and welcome to this tutorial. Today, I will show you how to create a surreal photo manipulation of a bonsai tree growing inside a cup, all within Canva.
Step 1: Go to the 'Elements' tab and search for an 'empty cup'. Switch to the 'Photos' category and choose an image you like. Add it to your page.
Step 2: Select the cup image. Use the 'Background Remover' tool to delete its background. You can also change the color of the cup if you like.
Step 3: Adjust the size and position of the cup on your canvas.
Step 4: Go back to 'Elements', then 'Frames'. Choose a circle frame and add it to your page. Resize the frame and position it where you want the tree to appear inside the cup. You may need to zoom in for precision.
Step 5: In the 'Elements' tab, search for 'bonsai tree'.
Choose a photo and add it to your page. Adjust its size and position.
Step 6: Go to 'Position', then 'Layers'. Send the bonsai tree layer behind the circle frame layer.
Step 7: Duplicate the bonsai tree. Place one copy inside the circle frame. Double-click inside the frame to adjust the image size to match the bonsai tree outside the frame.
Step 8: Select the cup image inside the frame. Use the 'Background Remover' tool again, and crop it to blend seamlessly.
