I was wrong about the Apex... Here's why

At the start, I swapped the factory wiper seals (which feel too tight / undersized) for 3D-printed flexible wipers that felt amazing at first—less friction, smoother travel, better small-bump compliance. But after one real-world ride (mud, rocks, rim shots, jumps), the suspension got sticky and creaky fast… and the “fix” started letting dirt into the inner seal. So I tore the wheel down (again 😅), cleaned everything out, packed it with grease, added seal lube, and went back to what actually works.

I’m also running a Fox Float X Factory (2025) air shock and talk about what I love about it (floaty, plush over chatter) and what I don’t (progressive feel, bottom-outs, control on chunky downhill, air pressure behavior).
