Bushcraft, Nettle Soup & Antler

Описание: Musen and me start the day with a walk, looking for red deer antlers.
Then we go foraging and makes nettle soup with bacon.

The wound
I found some string on a tree, i used my knife to cut it, and tied it of still holding the knife in my hand. That was not a good idea.

Sphagnum moss is antibiotic can suck a lot of fluids, it leaves the wound nice and clean. I have used it several times.

Resin from Norway spruce is antimicrobial against a wide range of bacteria and fungi and positively associates with progressive healing of the wound.

The antler
The antler was shed last year
Some people think that they should be left in the woods, so the rodents and predators can get the calk from them. The antler had no bite marks, and there is plenty of bones in the forest, some of them have bite marks, but most has not.
Musen didn't find the antler, i did. But she found it before i could set up the camera. She has found antlers before, and is very good at it, and loves using her nose. She has found several things i have lost through time, including my pocket knife, which i lost 14 days after it was given to me from a good friend, when i was cutting willow for the crayfish traps i made in this video:    • 8 days of Bushcraft - Thunderstorm - Crayf...  .

The glove

My fingers felt "funny" for days.

My father
I dedicated the video to my father. He died the 16, the day after recording the video. He had cystic lung fibrosis, and had a machine giving him oxigene 24/7. He didn't have a worthy life the last 6 months. He had breathing trouble specially when speaking, but couldn't keep his mouth shot anyway. He was very afraid of the Covid-19, and was very lonely the last few monts. My mother died in 99, more or less all of his friends is dead and the sickness only went one way. Hi died at home, and would have preferred that. He has peace now and will keep living in our memories.

Musen:
My dog eats raw chicken every night. Besides that she has dry food available all day.
Musen (the mouse) is a labradoodle
She is half brown labrador and half black/white toy poodle.
Her real name is Effie, but i only use that when her hearing is bad. ;)
