The Ysalina Bridge, or commonly called the Carmen Bridge, is the first bridge in Cagayan de Oro built around 1888 to 1890 by the Bridge Builder Major Juan Zanon, a military governor of Misamis Oriental. The bridge, at that time, was a bit unstable and made of bamboo. It was later reconstructed to a hanging bridge and named "Puente del General Blanco" after incumbent General Ramon Blanco y Erenas. It was paid by donations from several local families, with P5,000 in gold coins, and was built to be the longest suspension bridge in the Philippines at one point. The bridge was further improved to a concrete bridge and inaugurated on August 26, 1931. The bridge was named after Governor Paciencio Ysalina, former governor of Misamis Oriental.

The 6th bridge in Cagayan de Oro linking the busy streets of Max Suniel and JR Borja, Burgos was formally opened to vehicular traffic on February 6, 2015.


This is the longest Spanish-Assisted Bridge in the Philippines with a total length of 307.79 linear meters with 120 linear meters concrete-paved approaches.

The bridge was funded by the Government of the Philippines for Civil works worth Php179,582,892.00 and its Steel Bridging Materials funded by the Spanish Government worth Php92,191,881.90.

Marcos Bridge was built in 1972. is a road bridge that crosses the Cagayan De Oro River.
It is located along Brgy. Consolacion, Cagayan De Oro City.

The Marcos Bridge is one of the various project by the General Contractor
Jejors Construction Corporation, and hired RMB Retrobuild Construction Inc.

It connects Barangay Kauswagan and Barangay Consolacion of Cagayan de
Oro City.

It connects the main national hiway, the Butuan-Cagayan de Oro-Iligan road along
CM Recto Avenue.

Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge was completed and became passable last 2011 which was a project of the Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) in order to increase economic development in the city. It's an easy access when you’re coming from the seaport in Macabalan village and Puntod Area going to Kauswagan village, then connect to Village Bulua terminal up to Opol Municipality (vice-versa). No doubt it is a very big help in our city traffic problem and booming trucking business hub.

The Macabalan-Bonbon Bridge is the 10th bridge to span Cagayan de Oro River. It connects Bonbon (west) and Macabalan (east) side of Cagayan de Oro City. All heavy trucks will be rerouted to this bridge straight to the Cagayan de Oro Port.

This will be the Longest Bridge in CDO City once completed.

The 660-meter Macabalan-Bonbon Bridge is the 10th bridge to span Cagayan de Oro River.

The said bridge is a two-lane concrete bridge with the given width of 7.32m carriageway and length of 1,315m. Aside its sole purpose of linking the two barangays Macabalan and Bonbon, it will also serve as a direct access of logistic transport from Iligan to CDO Port.

It will connect Barangay Bonbon and Barangay Macabalan.
