The Poverty Stoplight is being used around the world to strengthen organizations' work by providing accurate multidimensional poverty measurement and strengthening the self-management capabilities of the communities they serve.
Our partner in India, The Self-Employed Women's Association (SEWA), was founded in 1972 and is a major Indian trade union with around 3M members. It empowers low-income, informal sector women to achieve full employment and self-reliance, operating on Gandhian principles to provide banking, health, and cooperative services. Learn more about how the Stoplight compliments and strengthens the work that SEWA is doing and how the organizations work together to eliminate multidimensional poverty amongst women and families in India in the video.
