The PIpe on the Hob (fiddle lesson)

Описание: Here's a fiddle lesson on The Pipe on the Hob. This is a major, 2 part Irish jig, not to be confused with the minor, three part tune recorded by The Bothy Band. I first look at the basic melody, then demonstrate a simple bowing strategy, with two main bows to the bar emphasising the beats. Finally I look at ornamentation, with rolls and/or cuts. I use sheet music on screen, and a free pdf is available to subscribers (see below).
