The world ended fast — faster than anyone could react. Cities fell in days, screams faded to silence, and every street started to smell like rust, smoke, and fear.
You don’t breathe. You don’t move. You’re on your back, pressed into the dirt beneath a wrecked car. The metal above you groans as something brushes against it — a body, heavy and twitching. You can see their legs through the gaps, stumbling, jerking, dragging themselves through the mud. The air is thick with the sound of wet footsteps and low growls that sound almost human.
It’s quiet… too quiet. Then one of them stops.
Its feet turn toward you.
You can see the blood dripping from its hands, its reflection distorted in the car’s underbody.
This isn’t The Last of Us. This isn’t World War Z, Resident Evil, or 28 Days Later.
This is your street. Your nightmare. Your heartbeat pounding so loud you swear they can hear it.
One wrong breath, one scrape against metal — and you’re done.
How long could you stay silent?
