Today's “Musical Devotion” comes to me from one of my favorite worship songs. I could sing it over and over and just bask in the Glory of my Lord Jesus! It's words are simple but powerful when sung and causes me to just kneel in the power of ALMIGHTY GOD, hands raised in praise for He is my tower of refuge and strength, Jesus brings me back into relationship with my Father God and he cares for me, just as He does for you!

There is none like Him, not one other prophet or ruler was ever raised from the dead. Not one had the power to save; of all the others who preached a religion not one was raised from the dead; not one of them died as a substitute for their followers. Not one healed people from their sickness or cast out demons, not one!

Our Savior did this, Jesus was the only one and is why Philippians 2:9-11 says “Therefore God EXALTED him to the highest place and gave him the name that is ABOVE every name, that at the name of JESUS EVERY knee should bow, in heaven and on the earth and under the earth, and EVERY tongue acknowledge that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, to the glory of GOD THE FATHER”. Roy Harthern (one of my old ministers), used to say, “Whenever you read “THEREFORE, you need to ask yourself what is this there for?” Here it is for the ultimate power God gave Jesus to free us from bondage and praise God!

That is why I Shout to the LORD as everything in this world, every stream, every wave, and every breath of the wind is measured by our God and now Jesus sits at God's right hand administering the Kingdom of God.
God surely blessed Darlene Zschech when she wrote this praise song in 1993; from Sydney, Australia. Every time I hear it, no matter who sings it, chills run down my spine due to the power that comes from this song. In my book this song sits in the annals of songs, along with “How Great Thou Art”, Handel's Messiah”, “The Old Rugged Cross” (to name a few); this song makes you want to just stop and praise GOD! It needs to be sung more in our worship services! It is timeless and time seems to stop when you worship with it!

Listen to the words, feel the power of the Holy Spirit take any care you carry away; if just for a few minutes, stop, put yourself on hold, let your mind flow with the praise that comes forth; No other religion has music like this, nothing that breaks you down to the smallest part and then builds you back up in the grace of God like worship does. It is what Jesus has done for us. Let the mountains of your life bow down at the name of Jesus, just stand and love him, let nothing keep you from spending 5 minutes praising Jesus!
