Diamond 1 Fizz Gameplay Commentary - How I HARD Carried a D2 Game Against 80% Winrate Duo Bot

Against tough matchups like this where it's hard to get lane priority I like to take Teleport instead of Flash. Ignite is very important for kill pressure and Fizz's kit is so mobile that the loss of Flash isn't as big a hit as it would be for other champions.

Teleport allows me to still influence the map through Teleporting onto side lanes (usually bot is best) during fights or while they're getting ganked and turn it around in favour of my team mates, bypassing the lack of roaming capability that I have in my matchup.

In this game you'll see how I was able to apply this theory into action in a real game to get kills for myself in an otherwise passive matchup while most importantly also neutralizing the Grandmaster/Challenger Lucian who would have otherwise carried the game.

Feel free to try this yourself, but beware that good use of TP requires good map awareness to keep track of fights going on in the map, experience and very good and quick decision making, to not TP too late but also not TP too early before you've figured out whether it's a good idea or not.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't run TP-Ignite or just TP in general of course, since the only way to improve at it is to practice, just don't necessarily go into it expecting great results from the start if you're not used to roaming with TP.

Against easy matchups where you'd ideally want to pick Fizz into, after level 6 it should be very easy to have lane priority most of the time so you can shove and roam, so while I've still had success in those matchups with TP I'd probably rather run Flash unless I somehow know in advance that the enemy bot lane are 80% winrate duo smurfs that I want to play to shut down as I did in this game, since roaming bot lane by walking is fine and all, but the ability to Teleport and completely turn around an otherwise losing fight at any moment is simply unmatched.
