The Odisha BJP has held an important Core Committee meeting ahead of the upcoming elections. The meeting was chaired by State BJP President Manmohan Samal and attended by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Jual Oram, State In‑Charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, and BJP Organization Secretary Manas Mohanty.
Senior leaders including Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, MP Pratap Sarangi, former state presidents Basant Panda and Samir Mohanty were also present.
According to reports, several key decisions are being discussed, with the primary focus on the State Budget and strategies on how to effectively communicate it to the public.
With the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, the committee is expected to deliberate on candidate selection and strategy. Discussions may also cover the scheduled visit of Home Minister Amit Shah, upcoming panchayat elections, filling of corporation/board positions, and possible cabinet expansion.
