For decades, scientists have been working to understand just what comprises dark matter, the mysterious substance that permeates the universe but rarely interacts with other types of known matter--the stuff of everyday life. In fact, the only way physicists know dark matter exists is due to gravity, the weakest known force. At the 2016 World Science Festival, physicist Maria Spiropulu discussed the relationship between dark matter and gravity and the many experiments that may be closing in on dark matter's true nature.
