“My name is Marian and I’m with Premium Q Moving and Storage. Today we will share with you a few tips.

Tip Number 2: Assign tasks to everyone who’s going to be involved in the moving process. What do I mean by that? And then of course including your self. I mean for you to put on paper everyone who is going to be involved during this process. Then let them know what they’ll have to do throughout this time. You can start with yourself. How involved are you going to be? Are you going to work during this time? depending on how long it takes from the time you find out you need to move. Are you going to ask for days off? Which days are you wanting to use for the move? Are you going to be traveling during this time? Are you going to pay for the move entirely? Making sure your new place is done and ready for the date you have the move set up.

Then you move to the next person, your husband, your boyfriend, your parents, your children. Talking about the children actually, they’re the most effected by this. Not to mention if you’re moving interstate because they’re leaving their friends behind and the neighbors. So you want to make sure you’re keeping them involved. Make sure you have them watching funny movies about moving. Make sure, depending on their age, you have them color printed out pages of moving trucks. Make sure you show them pictures with the company that’s going to be moving them. Things like that, just make sure you keep them involved.
