Here I show you how to replace a speaker for a Peugeot 508 with a standard after market one (JVC CS-J1720X). The cone of the original speaker was torn due to moisture. Pay special attenuation to the depth of the new speaker, it should be rather shallow. I measured the depth and added a filler ring to add some space. Also the connector need to be removed. Make sure the polarity is correct for the new speaker. If reversed, bass reproduction will be horrible.
Make sure you have some new plastic clips available when you remove the panel. You will need them most likely.
