As a first generation medical student here in Canada and the first person in my family to go to medical school, I was absolutely lost during my premed years. I didn't know a whole lot about medicine so I decided to seek out "professionals" who were able to "help"... and unfortunately I got a lot of bad advice from time to time. So today I'm going to tackle some of the worst advice that I've ever heard given to students who were looking to get into medical school. We're talking about the Caribbean medical schools, GPA, the MCAT and more.
