We have been working with the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust to gather feedback about its virtual ward service from local family carers.
Here, Caroline Millard, Senior Operations Manager of Virtual Wards, briefly explains what virtual ward care involves, and how West Suffolk is responding to the public's experiences raised in our research.
The service allows patients to get the care they need at home, safely and conveniently, rather than being in hospital. Once referred, patients and families receive care from the hospital team through home visits and remote monitoring.
