If you care for elderly parents, this two-story house design is for you. On the ground floor we have a bedroom next to the entrance, with a wide door for a wheelchair to pass. The door opens outwards so that the interior of the bedroom is not visible from the living room and to facilitate getting out quickly during emergencies.

The bathroom is designed to be accessible. It is spacious, without a border in the shower, with handles, with the toilet at a comfortable height and with free space under the lavatory.

The living room and dining room form a single continuous space together with the kitchen and the patio. All the circulation is on the left side.

In the kitchen you can enjoy washing the dishes while looking out the window that overlooks the patio.

Next to the kitchen we have a laundry space with direct access to the patio.

Here you can see the house on 8x20m plot, but you can adapt it to plots of other dimensions.

The guest bathroom is under the stair and the door opens outward so that the toilet is not visible from the dining room.

The stair have been designed thinking of the elderly, too. It has a continuous handrail on the right side, and each step is 27.5cm deep by 17.5cm high. These are the ideal dimensions for a comfortable staircase.

The first thing we see after climbing the stairs is the shared bathroom.

The master bedroom is super wide. This bedroom has its own walk-in-closet, which, as you can see, leads directly to a bathroom with enough space for a tub.
