Along with the Gentex GOS, I got this particular unit from coffeeandsugar20 way back in 2010.

This is what I like to call the "bad" -9219 that I have. Why? Because, for one, the horn doesn't sound good most of the time, and, for whatever reason, the strobe does not work correctly (even though I only had wires running to the horn terminals and jumpers were already cut in order to ensure 4-wire operation).

Even to this day, I STILL have no idea how the strobe of this particular alarm stopped working the way it should. I am absolutely certain that I did not power the strobe with FWR, as that I don't even own a power supply that puts out FWR anyway, even up to this day. Moreover, I'm pretty sure coffeeandsugar20 didn't use this on a panel with FWR either. Also, it's important to know that, at the time, he got this alarm as new (actually, New-Old Stock due to the fact that these alarms aren't being made anymore) from eBay.

THEORIES
1. Maybe, for some odd reason, it could be because it hadn't been powered for about two years from the time I acquired the alarm until the time I actually tried to power the strobe of the alarm. But even that sounds so far-fetched and counterintuitive because I acquired a -9236 (the electronic version of the -9219) earlier that year, and, like this alarm, the horn and strobe hadn't been powered for about two years, but that strobe actually did work despite not being powered in two years.

2. Or, more than likely, it could be due the strobe being coded when coffeeandsugar20 had it. I have no evidence of this, but he DID have a video of this alarm going off in March Time (via a 4010 FACP) on his channel. The strobe was being coded along with the horn (and it's likely that the jumpers weren't cut, therefore making that alarm act as a two-wire horn/strobe -- but not like a 7002T or the like).
