Tomra H30 RVM @ CVS Pharmacy, Colchester CT

Описание: Before the CT bottle bill was expanded to include other types of beverages, a law was put in place which required retailers of a certain size to have at least 2 RVMs. This has prompted stores like CVS, Walgreens, Dollar General and others to install RVMs, and it just so happens that CVS opted for H30s.

These machines are essentially a T-70 fitted with a T-53 feeder system. As you can see, they still struggle with the issue of pulling containers too far in prior to scanning. The belt also seems to be a lot shorter compared to a conventional T-53/T-63. I do have my concerns about the shape of the feeder cone, as it could cause containers to fall out as they're rejected. This is especially problematic for glass bottles.

CVS does not seem to accept alcohol containers, so I will need to save some mineral water or soda bottles if I want to use the glass machine.

The local Walgreens installed 2 new Envipco FLEX machines, which I intend to take a video of when I am back in CT.

Note the Bang Energy can which was not accepted, it seems that all modern Tomras do not accept their products as a result of the bankruptcy. That being said, Bang seems to be working themselves from the ground up again, so this will likely be reverted. Hopefully, more machines will accept the 3oz bottles as well.
