Описание: The Wisdom Palace (English: House of Wisdom) is a national comprehensive academic institution established in Baghdad by the Arab Abbasid Dynasty in the Middle Ages. Also known as Puzzle Palace and Philosophy University. It is composed of institutions such as the Translation Bureau, the Academy of Sciences and the Library. It is the palace translation research institution and the royal translation institute set up by Caliph Mansour and Harun Rashid during the period of Khalifa Mansour and Harun Rashid in order to organize and lead the national translation movement and academic research activities. On the basis of the library, it was officially established around 830 and became the first national comprehensive academic institution and institution of higher education in the Islamic world. Its leaders are all scholars with profound knowledge and profound attainments. The famous Christian medical scientist and translator Yahya ibn Masevi (777-857) was appointed by Mamun as the first curator. The Nestorian translator and scholar Hounain ibn Ishaq (809-873) was appointed as the director of the translation bureau, known as the "elder of translators". The famous Muslim mathematician and astronomer Khwarazmi (780-about 850) also served as the director of the library and the director of the observatory. In academics, Ma Meng adopted the policy of vigorously advocating sponsorship, inclusiveness and academic contention, and hired dozens of learned scholars and translators from all over the world with heavy remuneration to engage in translation and research in the Wisdom Museum. Among them were Arabs and non-Arabs; Muslims and Christians, Jews, Zabis and Zoroastrians.
