We love sailing in the Grenadines!!
Salt whistle bay, Mayreau island.
A nice little hideaway in the Grenadines, just a stonethrow away from Tobago cays.
It's a little bay where you can anchor up, or take a mooring if you like. But make sure to get as far in as you can to get away from the swell. Its not to bad out back, but its more swell.
This is a little paradise if you like beaches and palmtrees as much as we do.
And they probably got the cutest beachbars i've seen for a while. Especially "Coconut bar", the little blue bar right befor "The last bar befor the jungle". And if you would like a little more civilized bar, you have a stonebuildt one with sunchairs in the other end, just close to the kitebeach.
So we did a little pubcrawl, before we hiked up a long(long!) hill to the top of the island to see an old catholic church with the most beautiful view over the tobago cays. Reefs, tiny islands and the blue ocean as far as the eye can see.
So, Salt whistle bay, a nice little anchorage to anchor up for a day. A tiny Caribbean paradise that you will enjoy big time, if you don't mind to many boats.
Kisses from Hanne
