All valuations were correct at the time of broadcast. This form of carving table was virtually invented, or certainly promoted, in 1770 by Robert Adam who was a Scottish architect. It was treasured in this gentleman's family for over 200 years and is recognised for its shallow fluted columns inspired by ancient Greece. Hugh Scully and the experts from Antiques Roadshow take a look at some fantastic antiques and the history and stories surrounding them. This clip was filmed in Shetland in 2002.
