A massive winter storm stretching from Texas to Maine has placed more than 200 million Americans under winter storm alerts, with multiple states declaring emergencies. The storm is bringing up to two feet of snow in some northeastern areas, dangerous ice accumulation, and frigid temperatures that are hampering road treatment efforts. Hundreds of thousands have lost power, major interstates have closed, and Oklahoma has recorded its highest 24-hour snowfall in 40 years.
