Meghalaya’s Early Childhood Development (ECD) Mission is a first-of-its-kind initiative that strengthens human development through a science-based, life-cycle approach—supporting children from birth to 18 years, with a focused emphasis on the critical early years (0–8 years) when foundational development happens.
The mission works to strengthen:
• Good health and early care
• Adequate nutrition
• Early learning and cognitive development, especially in the early years (0–8)
• Support systems for pregnant and lactating women through community-based care and services
