The meeting consisted of several main components:
1. Scripture Study - The group studied verses from Srimad Bhagavatam, 3rd Canto, Chapter 11, verses 20-21, discussing the concept of Yuga Sandhayas (transitional periods between millenniums) and how religious principles decline through different ages. In Satya Yuga, dharma stands on four legs, but it decreases by one part in each subsequent yuga until Kali Yuga where only one leg remains.
2. Chanting Practice - Multiple participants practiced chanting Sanskrit verses line by line, with RadhaGokulananda Bhajan Kutir leading the recitation and various members repeating after him.
3. Letter Reading - The group read and discussed a letter from Srila Prabhupada dated February-March 1971, addressed to Upendra about preaching activities in Fiji. The letter discussed overcoming language barriers in preaching, sending Amritananda to help with Hindi-speaking youth, tape recordings, and the worship of Krishna deities.
4. Key Points Discussed:
In Kali Yuga, simply chanting Hare Krishna can protect one from miseries
Association with devotees is essential
All Vishnu murtis are worshipped the same way
Purity of message attracts sincere people
5. Announcements - RadhaGokulananda mentioned evening programs at 6:30 PM and 8 PM, and fundraising activities until March 3rd for Gaura Purnima, which coincides with a lunar eclipse.
