Описание: Tonight we continue Jesus’ Last Word to the Churches in Revelation chapter 2.
The last words people speak are often remembered for a long, long time—and they have great impact on those who hear them. These are the last words Jesus spoke to His churches…which means they are His last words to the church at Florence—the Florence Baptist Temple—and that is very accurate.
In Pergamos (Rev. 2:12–17), Jesus introduces Himself as the One with the sharp sword with two edges—the Word of God—and He speaks to a church living “where Satan’s seat is.” They held fast His name, yet compromise was being tolerated: the doctrine of Balaam and the doctrine of the Nicolaitans. And then comes that strong statement: “Repent, or else.”
In Thyatira (Rev. 2:18–29), the issue goes beyond compromise into corruption—false teaching, tolerated immorality, and a church warned with severe language because sin was being excused and truth was being mixed with error. Yet even here, Christ speaks to the overcomers with promise and reward—calling His people to hold fast till I come.
Pastor Monroe reminds us again of the three P’s: these are Practical words, Personal words, and Prophetic words—guidance for churches in every age, and direction for believers who want to grow in discernment and spiritual strength.
