Overlanding MT Charleston Neveda & Dumont Dunes

Описание: Overlanding MT Charelston and Dumont Dunes has been on my bucket list for a while. Mount Charleston Neveda is a remote mountain outside of Pahrump and Las Vegas Neveda.

Camping at Mount Charleston was our original game plan but the weather had a different idea. Our overland trip starts out on the Mojave Road off Basin Road in the Mojave desert. We cross through the Travelers monument on the Mojave road and eventually take our Prelanders to Baker CA to top off fuel. We encounter many issues on our way the the Dumont dunes. The Dumont dunes are vast, large, and quite soft, we have lunch at the dunes and then make our way toward Pahrump Nevada. The trail we take northeast to Pahrump NV is called Sperry Wash and it's rugged and washed out and there are many water crossings we need to tackle. With Mount Charelston off in the distance we can tell camping at Mount Charelston is not looking likely. We go up Wheeler Pass Trail anyway. Playing in the snow is quite fun and our offroad trucks handle the snow without issue. Snow wheeling is very fun! Later we overland our way into Good Springs Neveda and eventually opt for a hotel in Primm Neveda.
