Come See Turkey Project - Instagram 500K + Followed Photographers Around the World.

Описание: “Come See Turkey” Project supported by presidency of Republic of Türkiye and #Tobb in 2014 that I took part in while working with Street Photographer and PhotoJournalist Mustafa Seven and with my friend Art Director Olay Seven. The project was made Olay and Mustafa Seven Brothers.

Those were the days; the very first effective time of the use of instagram.

They were the very first phenomenal of instagram . Especially photojournalist Mustafa Seven was started to be most followed instagram pages in Türkiye and by Middle East Countries..
It was a perfect idea. The tour of Türkiye with these talented photographers around the world.
They were sharing the same “new” instagram “thing”.

It was very new to us the “liked” numbers and “followed by countries” and “effecting people” the power just one post the user has.

10 years ago, These keywords were very new to us and It was a conversation topic to talk to.

As being a photographer or curious to new media studies , The digitalizing of photocameras or the phone cameras improved and transformed its lens at the same time , it become easy to capture and by the right timing of any post send by the user, Instagram user has a chance to increase the number of its followers.

Of course it was not a random working to be followed by billions of people.

One has to share something strategicly. Has to create a style or a genre of its page.
Than the curios people did this!

Instagram became a medium of thousand of thousands new images are marathoning.

At the same time many people around the world effecting to others and be informed.
This image sharing (app) tool was holly shift for the actors of this platform!

Of Course: it was the playground of image makers , photographers.
New terminology: “content creators” 🎃

I have to turn the main topic; There were Amazing and most talented photographers around the world came together in İstanbul and they were going to tour all around the Türkiye .

That afternoon; It was so impressing and excited to us to see all these talented photographers in the middle of our office in Galata.
It was a perfect idea to brought the most followed instagram account owners together under the umbrella of ComeSeeTurkey Project.

Thanks to the courage and organizational skills of the Seven Brothers, our country was promoted via Instagram, a type of new media project that is one of the first steps of digitalization. I wish many beautiful projects to come true.

They took amazing photos and posted them on their 500 k + followed instagram pages in 2014.

Thus, it became a great promotion opportunity for our country, each with its own different and special regions. They posted at least 3 photos at a day during the tour. You can see the video I editted behind the camera of the tour from youtube :
