There is comfort in knowing that Jesus is ‘the light of the world’ because light brings warmth and sight in a world that would otherwise be cold and dark; however, the light will also reveal our own motives. Encountering Jesus, the light of the world, means being honest about who we are and why we do what we do. When we are honest, the result will not be judgment and punishment but grace and forgiveness!
