📌 1️⃣ Using LPC Notes Nearly Harmed Anna’s SQE2 Preparation

Anna reveals:
“The only other notes that I used was probably my LPC notes… but I was very careful because those were outdated.”

She explains that LPC notes only helped her gain depth — but they could not be relied on for current SQE law.

Instead, she needed:

✔ current case law
✔ procedural changes
✔ rules aligned with SQE assessments
✔ ethical updates
✔ litigation rules under SRA
✔ formatting and structure required by SQE examiners

She stresses:
“I would always go back to the academy notes to see any new laws that have come into place.”

❗ Never Use LPC Notes as the Main Source

Because LPC notes:
are written for a completely different exam
contain procedural rules not tested in SQE
may include outdated jurisdiction positions
do not integrate SQE frameworks
do not reflect current advocacy or drafting expectations
do not mention new litigation restrictions or probate changes
do not train how the SQE assesses application of law

The key is application + current law, not academic theory.
