Here is a brief and easy reference video to perform Alternating Delt Raises. You will need a pair of dumbbells. You can also do these seated if you need relief for your back, or want to eliminate any cheating from your lower body.
This is a combo isolation exercise to target the anterior (front) and side delts. Sometimes you've just got to beat those delts into submission and pummel them with more than just separated isolation movements. You can use this combo as a pre-exhaust to light the delts up before a big overhead press, or even as part of a superset to really burn it up!
Use an appropriate weight while keeping your torso and hips stable so that that you don’t compensate the movement with other parts of your body, so that the load stays on the delts.
Keep a mind-muscle connection when performing these so that you can focus on the contraction in your delts with every rep!
