This set of classes are designed to teach new quilters everything you need to know to finish your first large quilt on a domestic sewing machine. We will make your very first quilt from start to finish.
Two times per month, I will livestream every step in the creation of a twin sized rail fence quilt. You will learn everything you need to know to help you grow your skills. Topics in this series include:
Lesson one: Basic tools, acronyms, fabric preparation and selection.
Lesson two: Needles, thread, measuring and cutting your pieces.
Lesson three: accurate 1/4 inch and pressing your pieces, and trimming.
Lesson four: trimming blocks, joining blocks and nesting seams.
Lesson five: Pressing the top and preparing borders
Lesson six: Basting the top and getting it ready for quilting.
Lesson seven: Quilting with a walking foot.
Lesson eight: Binding your quilt top.
Lesson nine: adding a quilt label.
