In this special we look to the future and what this new span will bring to the region. Plus we look back at the span it replaces -- the Tappan Zee
The new bridge is no only the largest enhancement to our region's infrastructure in decades... it's also replacing what was, for many, the best known landmark in the Lower Hudson Valley.
The old Tappan Zee Bridge was a gateway - opening up Rockland County - helping it evolve from a mainly rural county - to the suburban enclave it has become.
The new Cuomo Bridge will continue that process, enabling the Hudson Valley to continue to evolve well into the remainder of the 21st Century and beyond.
