Samajwadi Party MLC Shahnawaz Khan raised issues related to the Muslim community during the budget discussion in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council. While addressing the House, he narrated an incident from the Ramayana to emphasize communal harmony and equal treatment. He stated that a narrative is spreading within the Muslim community that people wearing a beard and cap are not heard properly at police stations and government offices, creating fear.
