Описание: Planting oats and alfalfa on a Wisconsin family farm with a John Deere 4020. The cultipacker presses the alfalfa down a bit to get the seed better contact with the ground and increase germination rates on our farm. The field we are planting is coming from corn and is going to oats and alfalfa. Our stand of oats and alfalfa usually lasts 4-5 years. We put manure down before we plant and do soil tests every 4-5 years. Some years it needs lime to balance ph in the soil. We usually chop or round bale the oats, but the last few years have been wet. Oats take a while to dry out enough.
