Описание: When I interviewed Steve Lillywhite for the first anniversary of Shane’s passing Steve wondered whether or not ‘Lullaby Of London’ registered on many people’s radar. “It’s a beautiful song!” He exclaimed. I assured him that it certainly registered with my adolescent self, growing up in the middle of the Troubles.

What is a lullaby anyway? I argue it’s a love song from a parent to a child - the ultimate love song! When I saw the post from Victoria inviting people to cover Shane’s music my mind first went to ‘Summer In Siam’, but then I could feel a gravitational pull towards this song.

Rest In Peace, dear Shane, on the second anniversary of your funeral. You’ve given us a trove of beauty that will stand the test of time, long after we’ve all joined your ultimate after-party.
