Day 53 of our Overland Journey 🇧🇬
We wake up in Sofia and take a bus across Bulgaria to Plovdiv, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe.
After arriving earlier than expected, we drop our bags and head out into Plovdiv’s Old Town to explore ancient streets, colourful architecture, and ruins dating back thousands of years some as far as 6,000 BC.
With the rain setting the mood, we warm up with breakfast, hide out in a donut café, then wander through history before spending the evening at the Christmas markets and finding an incredible fresh pasta spot.
This feels like the perfect calm before the chaos… because in tomorrow's video we head to Istanbul for Christmas 🇹🇷
