Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival – 2018 to take place

Описание: For the fifth year, the Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival – 2018 is going to be organized with aims to develop special interest tourism, expand tourism season, augment the number of tourists visiting Ulaanbaatar in winter time and promote Mongolian traditional winter games.
As for this year, the winter festival will be hosted in a level of international festival with participation of archers from China and Russia, reporters group from the Odon Television of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and ice anklebone shooters from Ulan-Ude.
During the winter festival, varieties of contests and events will take place including snowboard, rugby, ice skating, ice wall climbing, family relay games and tug of war competition. Moreover, the visitors will be able to drive four wheeled motorcycle and ride a dog sled.
Events of selecting khoroo with the best traditional costumes and making a popular dish-tsuivan in a pan with a diameter of 3,5 meters for 800 guests will also take place.
Therefore the organizers called for citizen to visit the event, wearing traditional costumes.
The prize of the competition is MNT 10 million. Most competitions of the festival are open to both foreign and domestic visitors to participate.
Within the winter festival, National amateur ice archery championship will be hosted on February 2-3 and National Ice Anklebone Shooting Championship on February 2-4 in the National Park.
